With the announcement of our groundbreaking NEPS technology, came our first ever city commissioned project. In cooperation with the City of Hazel Park, Scout Park received a full installation of NEPS to promote the health of newly planted trees.
The installation took place on August 14th, targeting 15 trees that had been planted in mid-April as part of ReLeaf Michigan’s 30th anniversary celebration. While on site, multiple news outlets and members of the Hazel Park Government joined us to observe the installation process and talk about NEPS. The entirety of the project was carried out to the satisfaction of the City, and in less than 4 hours thanks to the agility of HAZL, which has been developed to perfectly complement the needs of Exlterra’s technologies.
“Exlterra is an amazing Hazel Park company with an amazing product. We were so happy to partner with them to ensure the survival of our newly-planted trees. Look for big things from this company in the future.” said Edward Klobucher, City Manager – City of Hazel Park.
Hazel Park became the first city to commission a NEPS project with Exlterra, but not the last. With the Scout Park project under our belt, we have launched our promotional campaign to select 5 Metro Detroit cities to receive a NEPS installation. We called this initiative “NEPS in the City” and each installation shall become important reference sites for the future, generate awareness and be the seed for future growth. These installations will be carried out between November 15 and December 21 of this year by Exlterra and results will become apparent during the spring of 2019. The response so far is overwhelming and results will be communicated in our next Newsletter.
