Coffee growers are struggling now more than ever with coffee plants health, quality and yields. This is caused by volatile precipitation and flooding, followed by intermittent droughts and rising temperatures.
Exlterra has now partnered with one of the leading and most sustainable coffee companies in the world to start implementing the NEPS technology. These steps will help coffee growers combat these deteriorating growing conditions and increase quality production that will provide the best coffee.
“We are very proud to have attracted the attention of a large and sustainable player in this field” said Frank Muller, CEO, “but most importantly, demonstrate how coffee can be grown in a true sustainable way.”
More than 100 coffee trees will be equipped with NEPS in the region of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the spring of 2020, adding one more variety of tree to a growing portfolio of NEPS references across 3 continents.
