HAZEL PARK, Mich. — October 16th, 2019 — After the successful launch of the NEPS technology for promoting tree health and growth in 2018, Exlterra is now starting its selection process to build a nationwide network of authorized NEPS installers.
The GIE EXPO in Louisville, Kentucky, from Oct. 16 to 18 is the showcase for the green and outdoor industry, attracting over 20,000 landscapers, arborists, and others in the field nationwide. Exlterra chose this venue as the platform to promote awareness of NEPS and to begin the selection process for authorized installers.
During the expo, Exlterra will showcase NEPS along with MAZL, a new and innovative drill rig specifically developed for NEPS installers.
“I will personally be present during the three days of the show to engage with candidates wishing to become NEPS installers,” said Frank Muller, CEO of Exlterra. “We are looking for partners who share our values of sustainability and innovation, but most importantly who are able to think outside the box. With our portfolio of strong NEPS results and its simplicity, we believe landscapers and tree care specialists will immediately see the added value to their businesses and ultimately their client satisfaction.”
“MAZL has been developed for landscapers and tree care specialists to install NEPS,” said Andrew Niemczyk, Exlterra’s Chief Technology Officer and Founder. “However, MAZL is capable of much more, and I have already received interest in MAZL for the installation of utilities fence posts and tree planting, just to name a few.”
NEPS are installed underground around a tree, regardless of the type of soil, climate, or elevation. NEPS allows the tree to have access to nutrients that are present deep in the soil, but are inaccessible to trees roots. As a result, a tree with NEPS grows stronger, healthier, and generates better yield in both quality and quantity.
MAZL, designed and built in the U.S., is an innovative and ultra-portable drilling rig dedicated for NEPS installers. Weighing less than 1500 pounds and measuring 34 inches wide and 72 inches long, MAZL can be transported on a pickup truck and fit through most fence openings. With an unbeatable cost-to-performance ratio, it is set to become a highly demanded rig for many applications.
Exlterra has already revolutionized water management with the invention and introduction of the energy-passive groundwater recharge product in 2010. Today, Exlterra continues to be a leader in environmental innovations with NEPS, a unique and sustainable tree care technology. Exlterra’s mechanical platform, with HAZL and MAZL, completes the product ecosystem and provides reliable and innovative drilling capabilities for its fast-growing network of installers. Exlterra continues to develop powerful solutions and products to tackle the planet’s leading environmental challenges and generate significant environmental, economic, and social value.
