In 2014, Exlterra made its first GEPS installation around a residential house in Geneva, Switzerland whose basement was systematically flooded during rainy periods and whose walls were damaged by humidity.
This phenomenon is due to the rising groundwater table which generally occurs in autumn and winter, when rainfall is high, evaporation is low and vegetation takes little water from the ground.
One of the benefits of GEPS is precisely to reduce rising water table and to protect foundations and underground installations.
Recently, we were very pleased when the client told us that his basement had once again remained dry despite the exceptional rainfall in Geneva last October. Contrary to traditional drainage, the efficiency of GEPS does not diminish with time, which our client was able to observe to his complete satisfaction.
