After hearing about Exlterra, the Golf de Rougemont-le-Château, located in the Mulhouse region of France, had one of its fairways equipped with a GEPS system in May 2022.
Impressed by the results from the 2022 installation, the Golf asked us to extend the installation to two fairways and a green, an additional surface area of around 10,000 m2 (2.5 acres).
We installed the system in April. While the system can take three to six months to acclimatize, at Rougemont-le-Château, the results were evident in just a few days.
The maintenance team told us that until now it had not been possible to mow the grass on one of the fairways several days after rainfall without leaving a trace. They are now keen to pass the tractor over this area in all weather conditions.
Despite heavy rainfall in early May, there were no puddles or saturated areas, as was previously the case. Thanks to better underground moisture management, the quality of the green’s turf has also improved significantly. As a result, the greenskeeper has reduced the use of phytosanitary products.
Golf club members enjoy more playing time, while maintenance has become simpler and more efficient.
As the hot, dry days of summer approach, GEPS will continue to deliver on its promise to provide a hassle-free, durable and maintenance-free moisture management solution.
Needless to say, we’re very proud of our collaboration with Golf de Rougemont-le-Château – an inspiration to the golf industry as true pioneers and stewards of the environment.
