After the successful installation of NEPS at Scout Park in Hazel Park, MI this past August, and the positive response generated by media coverage (click here), we launched the “NEPS and the City” program. This program’s objective was to promote NEPS installations in at least 5 cities in the US and Switzerland before the year’s end. With these installations done, the professionals in charge of the health of trees for each city will be able to see the NEPS difference as early as spring of 2019.
The response we have received exceeded our expectations and showed us how much a solution is desperately needed for struggling trees in an urban setting. 5 cities in the US and 2 in Switzerland quickly agreed to have a NEPS installation and were selected for our program.
All the installations have been completed this November and December to the satisfaction of the cities. We have installed NEPS on many different types of trees and in different locations: public parks, roadway medians and other areas with limited access. This was also another demonstration of the agility of HAZL, our drill rig.
At the end, we have installed more than 120 trees with NEPS in collaboration with many cities and we are now confidently looking into Spring of 2019, when the results will truly start to show.
